Nature and towns
Classic route of the white villages of the north of the province of Cadiz with starting point in the city of Ronda. Our originality consists of interpreting the special natural environment and commenting on the customs of rural life that survive in these small enclaves.
Setenil de Las Bodegas
Peculiar village of troglodyte houses settled on the banks of the stream that eroded a rock similar to the Tajo de Ronda and turned it into a canyon. The village is exceptional for the large number of urban birds, swallows, planes, swifts and kestrels, which nest and can be easily seen.
Zahara de la Sierra
Ancient fortress of strategic importance during the Middle Ages, located on the border between the Christian Seville and the Muslim Ronda. On a very prominent promontory, the castle tower offers magnificent views over the surroundings. The climb is steep but allows you to cross an interesting Mediterranean mountain rich in plant species and butterflies.
Grazalema
The main town of the natural park of the Sierra de Grazalema. Strolling through its streets is very pleasant and entertaining. A natural balcony offers beautiful views and is an ideal place for bird watching rocky as griffon vultures. The natural park is famous for its forest of pinsapos, but its access is complicated.
