The excursion has <strong>variants and shortcuts<\/strong> very useful when it comes to adjusting desire and time to walk. <strong>The first variant<\/strong> of just over 5 km in length is simpler and shorter, up and down a very gentle slope and easy to walk; it becomes circular if we complete the itinerary by cutting or walking a few hundred meters along the road. <strong>The second variant<\/strong> is circular and longer, about 12 km long, adding a couple of not too demanding slopes. We will walk through <strong>La Dorsal<\/strong>, the small massif that separates the Genal and Guadiaro valleys. We will have the opportunity to discover and compare the landscapes of both valleys and the ridge, with its rocks and crags. We will have a glimpse of the distant mountains and we will go into the forest along an old path. This <strong>route very close to the villages<\/strong> allows us to <strong>know the past and present rural life of these enclaves<\/strong>.     <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The art route  <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Walking from Benarrab\u00e1 to Genalguacil is a fantastic excursion in which <strong>we cross the Genal River at the height of the Prados de la Escribana<\/strong>. Downhill, uphill, delight in the village and again downhill and uphill. A total length of approximately <strong>12 km with a little more than 800 meters of positive difference in altitude<\/strong> that takes us into an extensive cork forest, dotted with gall oaks and chestnut trees, a dense forest where cork is worked and harvested in the month of June. Genalguacil offers an <strong>ideal stop<\/strong> to regain strength<strong> halfway<\/strong> and to enjoy the <strong>more than 80 works of art<\/strong> exhibited in its <strong>streets<\/strong>. Surprising corners and alleys are filled with art and inspiration.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The route of the cherry trees<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This circular route starts from Benaladid, a small white village in the Genal valley next to a medieval castle. The route is very easy to walk because of its slight slope, and very nice in the spring with the cherry trees are throwing the flower or even their succulent fruits. The Mataquince chestnut tree impresses with its large dimensions.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Circulars in Benarrab\u00e1 and surroundings<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These routes illustrate the hiking possibilities in the village of Benarrab\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The footbridges of the Genal<\/strong>. Stretch of the river that can be incorporated in different excursions but of obligatory step to enjoy the valley. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Llanos del Rey<\/strong>.
